I am Professor at the Department of Mathematics of ULB, and part time Professor at VUB. I am also President of altaïr and of the FNRS Ecole Doctorale Sciences (ED17), as well as founder of the MATh.en.JEANS initiative in Belgium, and cofounder of the Brussels Summer School of Mathematics . and the XMI.
I teach probability and statistics at ULB;

My research topics are also somewhere in the vicinity of probability theory
and mathematical statistics, with focus primarily on distributional
approximation through Stein's method.
